The Cove holiday lights through Jan. 3
Donate to Love Kitchen
Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs joined John Schoonmaker, 5th District Knox County Commissioner, and Susan Horn, chair of Knox County Board of Education (5th District representative), among county dignitaries on hand at The Cove at Concord Park to officially cut the ribbon and flip the switch to begin a month of holiday lights.
This annual ritual began at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3.
Lights will be turned on each night from 6 to 9 p.m., except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, through Sunday, Jan. 3.
A Knox County Parks & Recreation official will be on hand nightly during the lighting to collect for The Love Kitchen in East Knoxville, accepting donations of canned food and/or monetary donations.
