KCSO police reports
• At 2:24 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, a complainant contacted Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report her mother’s husband’s vehicle stolen from the parking lot of Super 8 hotel, 11748 Snyder Road.
Complainant said the suspect made entry into his 2006 Ford Expedition, with the keys inside and engine running and left the scene without permission. She did state the incident was caught by their video surveillance and it can only be held for 24 hours. Complainant advised from the video, the suspect was identified as an individual who had been staying at the motel. Complainant listed is the victim’s mother, as she was translating due to the fact her mother cannot speak English. The additional property listed was inside of the vehicle and belongs to the listed property owner. After the initial report was made, officer advised he was able to review the footage, and that a motel employee was supposed to be sending the footage to the LEIDS by e-mail. Vehicle’s value was listed at $1,800.
• At 11 p.m., Jan. 23, an officer responded to 11220 Outlet Drive (Cotton Eyed Joe) for an assault. Officer contacted victim, who said suspect was highly intoxicated when walking outside of the bar. Victim told the suspect he could not have alcohol outside of the bar, and this is when the suspect grabbed the victim around the collar of his shirt. The victim then struck the suspect on the left side of his face out of self defense. Suspect did have swelling and laceration around the left ear. AMR responded and transported the suspect to Turkey Creek Medical Center.
