Hardin Valley Academy Basketball Senior Night recognized five players in their final season, three Hawks and two Lady Hawks, during the ceremony before the boys varsity game versus Knoxville West Thursday night, Jan. 21.

Guards Tanner Grantham and Justin Sharp, along with forward Jake Hubbard, were joined by their parents, as were Lady Hawks Emma Boekweg, a post, and Evelyn Hess, a guard.

Another HVA senior boys player, guard Jaylen Jones, was unable to attend. The son of Krista Jones, Jaylen also is a baseball Hawk — third-baseman — and plans to pursue that sport as a student-athlete in college.

Due to attendance restrictions imposed by Gov. Bill Lee in the fight to control COVID-19, no senior cheerleaders or dance team members could be recognized at this basketball event.
