Presidential Award earned by Landmark; co-owner an FHS graduate
“I think it’s incredible,” said Jablonski, president of Landmark Trucks, LLC., and partner with wife, Terri Jablonski. “We’re blessed. We’ve got very good people who work for us, and for us to be recognized for their hard work is phenomenal.
“I’ve got people who put in long hours and have gone the extra mile for the customers, so to be the lead of a group of people who do that and them be recognized is pretty good to me,” he added about his 75 employees. “I’m humbled to be a part of that team.”
Jablonski explained Navistar recognizes the top 8 percent of the International Truck dealers in North America, which is 14.
The dealerships are measured for customer care, financial performance and delivery of units.
“We put an emphasis on taking good care of our customers with service, to make sure their vehicles are up and running,” Jablonski said.
“What is unique about Landmark is it is a smaller dealership, locally owned and managed in Knoxville,” he added.
Jablonski also credited the local community for the company’s success.
“The community is what helped us get this recognition because if it wasn’t for the local customers and people doing business with us locally, we wouldn’t have been able to receive that award,” he said.
His company has started a new program to reach out to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Remote Area Medical and Second Harvest Food Bank. During March and April, “if someone purchases a vehicle from us, we will donate $250 to either Children’s Hospital, Remote Area Medical or Second Harvest Food Bank — what the customer chooses — and International, the parent company, will match our $250, so it’s a $500 donation,” Jablonski said.
