• John Fleming recently joined the West Knoxville office of Peoples Home Equity as a mortgage adviser, providing a diversity of financing options for residential home loans. He also is a XINNIX Certified Originator (XCO), an industry designation held by less than .5 percent of all mortgage professionals nationwide.
• Larry Seivers, former University of Tennessee Football star receiver, recently was named district manager of Meridian Waste, overseeing its Knoxville hauling operations, including construction and demolition entities, Poplar View C&D Landfill and Riverside C&D Landfill.
Seivers, UT’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, was named a consensus All-American in 1975 and 1976, was awarded the SEC Athlete of the Year honor in 1977 and was drafted by the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks that same year. He was selected as an SEC Football Legend in 2005 and inducted into Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
• The East Tennessee Chapter Tiffany Circle members, including former Tennessee First Lady Crissy Haslam, along with Angel Knorr, Christy Phillips, Alycia Petrone, Margaret Petrone, Tonya Roth, Becky Thompson, and Mary Franklin, recently underwrote an Emergency Response Vehicle for the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross.
