Create unique laser designs at Make It Yours
Make It Yours, which opened in late November 2020, creates unique designs using laser engraving and printing technologies, as well as embroidery and monogramming, to create one-of-a-kind designs on fabrics such as T-shirts or hats, leather, slate, metal, wood, glass and more.
“We’re almost like a combination of a maker space and customization shop,” explained David Moyer, who uses his technology talents in the business. “We want you to be very interactive with the entire process of whatever we’re doing, whether it’s printing a picture for you, laser-engraving a wallet or coasters … anything you can imagine.
“There’s no limit to what you can do,” he added.
At Make It Yours, “you actually have a (master) designer in Ginette (Youngblood) helping you come up with what you want to do,” Moyer said.
“I’ve always been creative and crafty, and being able to work here and not be in an office and be creative every day is awesome,” Youngblood said.
The owner, Lysette Aviles, previously worked at HGTV, where she met Youngblood.
“They were both looking for something different, something creative,” Moyer said.
The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
