• At 12:36 p.m., Saturday, March 13, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report a burglary to her 2020 BMW X3 at a Scenic Loop Way address. She advised between 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 12, and 11:45 a.m. March 13, entry was gained to her vehicle.
An estimated $1,040 in property was stolen — which featured the key fob to the BMW and another set of vehicular keys, which combined had value listed at $790. Complainant said the doors to her vehicle were unlocked and there was no damage done, but there was smoke damage to the interior and cigarette ashes left behind.
• At 12:24 p.m., March 13 an officer responded to a Highwick Circle address. Complainant/victim said the residence, which is under construction, had been invaded. He said sometime between Feb. 14 and March 13, the home had been damaged. Just before calling in his report, he arrived to check the home and noticed roughly $1,000 worth of damage, which included a glass chandelier.
Areas of damage also included shattered beer bottles in the safe room. I advised the victim of his rights and gave him a copy of the report number.
• At 10:14 a.m., March 13, an officer arrived at Quality Inn, Campbell Lakes Drive, in reference to reports of a disturbance. Complainant said the suspect became irate over not being able to get a refund for her room. After being asked to leave, she then shoved the glass barrier causing a computer to fall, breaking both the barrier and computer.
Suspect then left the building and drove off. Staff has footage of the incident. Value of damage was listed at $250.
• At 3:30 p.m., March 12, a complainant contacted the KCSO Teleserve Unit to report her 2008 Ford Expedition burglarized at a Watt Road address. Complainant stated between 2 and 2:45 that day, an unknown suspect made entry into her vehicle by busting out the rear passenger window and taking property with a value listed at $4,253.
That included $1,100 in cash and a ring with a listed value of $2,000.
• At 11:25 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, a complainant/victim called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report the theft of his catalytic converter from his 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, which occurred at State Farm, 10811 Kingston Pike, while the complainant/victim’s vehicle was parked at the business.
Value of loss was listed at $2,500.
