‘Farragut Station’ is name of TopGolf development
Farragut Mayor Ron Williams confirmed in late March the TopGolf development along Outlet Drive will be named “Farragut Station,” which would include all adjacent businesses.
Williams said he discussed the matter with Colby Price, senior project manager with RealtyLink, which is developing the multi-property project, and they agreed upon Farragut Station among several suggestions.
The specific reference to TopGolf alone “will be TopGolf Knoxville, not TopGolf Farragut,” Williams said, noting the franchise typically takes on the name of the closest large city. “But that was a good compromise.”
He said its location, right off Campbell Station Road and in Farragut, made the name “perfect.”
In an e-mail, Price confirmed the name and added, “We are very happy to be a part of such a great development for the area.”
Rainy weather impacted any further movement along the property last week, but Williams said he expects the silt fencing to go up “anytime.
“After the silt fence is up and inspected they will receive their grading permit,” he added.
Williams also said with the recent land transfer from Sam Furrow to TopGolf developers, the billboard located on the property alongside Interstate-40/75 “will soon be coming down too.”
