The 2021 event highlighted performances by John Stone, signature tequilas, margaritas, cocktails and beer served along with tacos from local vendors. Everyone came out ready to enjoy the tequila and tacos while visiting other vendor booths touting crafts, home repair and other services.

This was the fourth year for the event, which was forfeited last year because of COVID-19.

Festival-goers Tony and Kim Bleyer attended to support their daughter, Heidi, who volunteers with RAM.

“It’s a great organization,” Tony said. “Happy to do our part.”

John Myers, president of RAM board of directors, said “we got more than expected,” pointing out there were 1,600 advance tickets sold, with about 400 extra in attendance for the early opening, and more who gave donations.

Myers credited John Volpe, general manager of Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant and event organizer, and Chris Hall with RAM for being the “two people who did the most” for ST&TF, which was started to bring about awareness of RAM as well as raise funds for the organization.

“I’m always happy to see events like this that keep us operating,” Myers added.
