• In response to the Aug. 5, 2021 (farragutpress) article, “‘Planning around our strengths’ is key,” the quote, “Farragut residents came together in 2012 to update the vision of how they wanted the Town to grow and develop,

knowing that no place stays special and unique by accident” stands in stark contrast to the recently approved changes to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance.

These changes were approved against the will of current residents. These residents called for a collaborative effort in redesigning the entire Mixed Use Town Center area of Farragut. Our request was ignored by the Town.

• The Brookmere development off of Virtue Road, it goes back to the west and then connects to Kingsgate subdivision. There’s a road going off of West Kingsgate Road, which will provide a lot more traffic on Peterson Road, which is very dangerous now. Peterson Road is too narrow, and they’ll be a lot more traffic coming out of Brookmere, through the Kingsgate subdivision, onto Peterson Road. I’ll bet the Kingsgate residents are very unhappy the Town of Farragut agreed with the developer of Brookmere to provide a cut-through to West

Kingsgate Road through Kingsgate subdivision. That seems unbelievable that the Town of Farragut would put that on Kingsgate subdivision.
