Two weeks of Band Camp for Farragut High School’s Marching Admirals was a “return to normal” for the 154-member group July 19-30 on the FHS campus. Hot weather was the norm, but enthusiastic band members practiced outside before lunch, then under shade or inside in the afternoon — every day with a fun theme, including “beach,” “cowboy,” tie-dye” and “Christmas in July.” This year’s program has a superhero theme, “For the Good,” and will be performed during Farragut’s first home football game Friday, Aug. 27, versus Knoxville West.
The Marching Admirals also will be performing beginning at 5:25 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 21, as LawnChair Series returns to Founders Park at Campbell Station.
