Free Town class offers guidance for new business
Prospective entrepreneurs wanting to start a business in Town of Farragut can get a basic understanding of the Town’s process with a new free class.
“I am super excited to share the (information) for the Farragut Business Process Seminar coming up on Oct. 20,” said Trevor Hobbs, assistant to Town administrator and business liason.
The class, being taught by Hobbs, will take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, in Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd.
“There will be networking time from 8 to 8:30 (a.m.) and again from 10 to 10:30 (a.m.),” he said. “The structured presentations will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m.”
Registration is available at townoffarragut.org/seminar
Structured around the new Farragut Business Development Guide, Wendy Smith, public relations coordinator, said this class is a separate event from a business start-up seminar offered in a partnership with the Town, Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Development Centers.
In a press release, Smith stated the guide will be provided to attendees.
Other opportunities include networking with business owners and Town officials in an informal setting and a panel discussion by local commercial real estate experts with tips for navigating commercial real estate and a sampling of available Farragut spaces.
Light refreshments will be provided.
