St. John Neumann Catholic Church and School families gathered on church grounds,

633 St. John Court, Saturday, Sept. 18, and Sunday, Sept. 19, to have fun while benefiting the school

and church at its “Harvesting For Him” Fall Festival. Sponsored by Maid Brigade of Knoxville,

volunteers Andrea and Nick Gentile coordinated the event.

Saturday, church members lined up for a 5K, a first for the church festival. Then on Sunday, attendees

participated in a game or two of kickball, walked around the booths, tried their hand at rock climbing, checked out the food trucks, played on the playground or in the inflatables, perused the Haitian

ornaments being made onsite, bought baked goods to benefit SJN School’s band and other activities.

“We appreciate your support of the parish and school, and we appreciate your helping make

the events so much fun,” stated church organizers in an e-mail.
