Hundreds of openings: T-Creek jobs fair
The development held another Job Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20.
With more than 200 stores, shops, restaurants, hotels and entertainment options, more than two dozens Turkey Creek businesses are hiring and “encourag(ed) job hunters to stop by during this time to apply and interview for the hundreds of open positions,” Kiley Parker, Turkey Creek director of marketing, stated in a press release.
Participating stores included: Altar’d State; Alumni Hall; American Eagle; Bed, Bath & Beyond; Best Buy; Buff City Soap; Claire’s; Cook-out; Dickey’s Barbecue Pit; European Wax Center; Fabrik; Gavino’s Pizzeria & Restaurant; Hallmark; J.Jill; LensCrafters; Loft; Longhorn Steakhouse; Marshall’s; Maurices; Michaels; Natural Alternatives; Off Broadway Shoes; Panera; Party City; Pei Wei; Torrid; Total Wine; ULTA Beauty; White House Black Market; and World Market.
“The increase in job openings shows the strength of the recovery in Turkey Creek, as more people head out to shop and dine in West Knoxville,” Parker stated in a release. “Our retailers are getting busier, so they need more workers.
“We’re hoping to get these positions filled so we can serve the community as a shopping destination even better, especially as we near the holidays,” she added.
Applicants were asked to bring résumés and stopped by each individual store in which they would like to work.
“Retailers (had) extra staff on hand during these hours to meet with candidates and discuss employment opportunities,” Parker stated.
