Thursday night, Nov. 4, head coach Jason Martin thanked each player for his accomplishments and hard work in helping the team complete another successful season (Martin and most of these players were 10-Under league champs in 2020). Despite a 79-yard touchdown run by Bless O’Leary and a 2-point conversion kick by Anderson Glover (holder William Benson and long snapper Brendan “Boots” Kutz), Farragut lost 14-8 versus Catholic in the championship game at John Tarleton Park. “Our boys fought hard and didn’t quit, but tonight was not our night. We didn’t execute the way we have all season and we beat ourselves tonight,” Martin said. “We were in good position to win until Catholic recovered their onside kick, and the ball bounced their way. We have much respect for our opponent tonight and we congratulate them on the win.”
