KCSO reports

• At 8:38 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report his 2019 Volkswagen Jetta stolen from a Butternut Circle address. He advised at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, a suspect left the above address in the listed vehicle. He stated he rents out his vehicles online and was renting to the listed suspect, but required him to have it back by 4:30 p.m., Dec. 16. Complainant advised he has tried contacting the suspect, but had not received an answer “and was advised he would have to speak with a detective for NCIC entry since prior permission was given,” the report stated.

• At 10:18 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, a victim told a KCSO detective that between Sept. 14, 2014, and Sept. 27, 2021, he had been working at a Southwick Circle address with the suspect. At some time between the above listed dates the victim’s drill and nail gun had been taken. “While doing an unrelated theft investigation on the suspect on Leads Online, I discovered the suspect had pawned the victim’s property during the same time frame as the theft,” the detective stated in his report. “I contacted the pawn shops and verified that they still had the property, and then I put a hold on the property.”
