36-point win left Lady Lions at 6-4 through first 10
Through its first 10 games, Concord Christian School’s Lady Lions varsity basketball team enjoyed a 6-4 overall record following a 56-20 blistering of The Ambassadors Monday night, Dec. 21, at CCS.
In terms of offense in helping produce win No. 6, senior point guard Kylie Phillips led the Lady Lions in scoring with a game-high 16 points. Raleigh Jack Walker, junior wing, added 13 while junior Anistin Patterson scored 12.
Rounding out the Concord Christian scoring was eighth-grader Sheridan Patterson and M. Sulish with six points each, and sophomore forward Ashley Anderson scoring three.
“This team has battled through adversity in every way,” Lady Lions head coach Denard Q. Bertram said. “Whether it be sickness, people quitting on them or injuries.
“They continue to grow and improve,” the first-year CCS head coach added. “I’ve very excited about our team moving forward.”
