Division II-KISL champs, BHS 4th overall, HVA 6th
KNOXVILLE — Fourth overall during Knox-area Interscholastic Swim League “City Meet” and led by two individual champs in 24 events, Bearden High School’s Aqua Dawgs finished as the KISL Meet’s Division II champs after competition wrapped up Sunday night, Jan. 23, in Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center at UT.
Hardin Valley Academy took sixth overall, which included sophomore MacKenna Peterson’s second-place 1-meter diving finish (381.55).
Knoxville Catholic claimed seventh-place overall, led by junior Gracie Pardue’s championship in the girls 100-yard-backstroke (:58.88).
Bearden individuals
Led by head coach Ben Myhre (left, holding Division II champs trophy), the Aqua Dawgs’ championship efforts individually came from junior Mary Sims Cross in the 200-IM (2:10.05) and senior Kelley Grace Chadwell in the 100-free (:53.95).
Webb School champ
Webb School of Knoxville was led by senior India Bradley winning the 200-freestyle (1:58.13).
