In good hands … with Allstate’s Colin Karich

Colin Karich of Farragut recently opened Colin Karich Agency with Allstate, 11416 Kingston Pike, Suite C, next to the former Adorable Child, to take care of the community’s insurance needs.

“I really like the area,” he said about the location. “It’s convenient. You’re able to get to where you need to go quickly; it’s close to home; and the family gets to stop by … it’s nice to be around the family and the community.”

Allstate offers traditional auto, home, life insurance and more.

“When you go with Allstate, you don’t just get the Allstate brand, you also get everyone whose partnered with Allstate throughout the years,” Karich said.

So, his agency also carries business, commercial and pet insurance.

“We even have a benefits department that works with companies, and we offer different types of benefit options for them, too,” he said. “Allstate really has a host of different products and services that they offer everyone, especially in this area … with boats, ATVs and things for the summer, all those things we can protect.”

Karich can be reached at 865-288-3532, by e-mail at colinkarich@allstate.com or on facebook.com/colinkarichagency.

He is married to Brittany, an assistant teacher at Farragut Primary School, and they have a daughter, Olivia.

For the past 20 years, he was in the finance and retail leadership as an operations director, managing teams and offices in five different states.

“Throughout the years, I’ve traveled Monday through Friday, came home over the weekends,” he reflected. “During the past year and a half, I wanted to make a change, so I made the decision to do something that would be in my local community that I’ve lived for over 40 years.”

He said insurance is “one thing that protects individuals. Everyone has those risks they don’t expect to happen, and we want to make sure we’re doing a really good job of taking care of the customers and making sure they get everything they need taken care of.

“Allstate is one of those companies that really stands behind the claims process and really helps those customers get those things taken care of, and they’ve been doing it for so many years.

“And they guarantee the claim,” Karich said. “If you’re not happy with the way we handled the claims process, you’ll end up getting a full refund on that whole auto policy … they want to make sure it’s done right the first time.

“That’s what drew me to Allstate is having a company you can count on,” he added.

Having lived in Farragut since he was 3, Karich remembers when the only thing in town were Kroger, Super X, Concord Market, the local laundromat and the “one stop light.”

“I think I even attended the old (primary) school that used to be on the hill,” he added. “I’ve seen Farragut grow through the years.”
