Win at Heritage assures Lady Ads No. 2 tourney seed in District 4-4A
BLOUNT COUNTY — Fighting off a second-half Heritage rally from 12 points down, which allowed the Lady Mountaineers to take a 39-37 lead late, Farragut countered with a 7-1 run to end the game.
As a result, Jason Mayfield’s girls earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming District 4-4A Tournament with 44-40 win at HHS Friday night, Feb. 4.
Entering the week 7-2 in district, 20-6 overall — trailing only Bearden, top seed at 9-0 — Farragut was led in scoring by senior wing Avery “Ace” Strickland’s 13 points.
Next was senior guard Keeleigh Rogers with 11 and senior wing Ashlyn Sheridan scoring 10. Annie Priest added five points, followed by Annalise Bishop scoring three and Allie Heins with two points.
