Shamrock Ball is March 5; ticket deadline is Feb. 25

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, Town of Farragut is teaming up with the Kiwanis Club of Farragut to once again host the annual Shamrock Ball, a Father-Daughter Dance, Saturday, March 5, in Farragut Community Center.

This will be the first year the event will be held in Farragut Community Center, and it also will be the first year it is being offered in two sessions: from 2 to 4 p.m., and again from 7 to 9 p.m.

“We are having it in two time frames this year to accommodate as many as we did when the event was held at Farragut High School,” said Merritt Piper, Town Special Event and Program coordinator.

“We also thought having an earlier option would be good for younger children whose parents might not want them to stay out so late,” she added.

According to a Town press release, “Fathers and daughters of all ages, as well as all family members, are welcome.”

The Shamrock Ball is not only an evening of music and dancing, but light refreshments and a craft also are part of the offerings.

Photos of each couple or family will be available for purchase online after the event.

Tickets — which must be purchased online as they will not be available at the door — are $20 for a couple and $5 for each additional family member.

Visitwww.farragutparksandrec.org/shamrockball to purchase tickets by noon on Friday, Feb. 25.

All proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Fresh Air Camp and Farragut Middle School Computer and Robotics Program.
