KCSO reports
• At 4:41 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27, two Knox County Sheriff’s Officers responded to Great Clips, 137 Brooklawn St. Manager/complainant said suspect/eventual arrestee — who had been trespassed by store management in January 2021 and was given a verbal trespass warning by KCSO deputies on June 17, 2021 — was back in the store and refused to leave. Eventual arrestee was given a misdemeanor citation for criminal trespass, with both officers explaining the reason “several times.” She refused to sign and was taken into custody, being transported to the Knox County Regional Detention Facility.
• At 8:17 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, the complainant called the KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft at a Brooklawn Street store. Complainant advised an unknown suspect took a wallet and its contents, with a listed value of $45, out of a cart between 3:45 and 5:45 p.m. She advised she left the wallet in the cart outside of the store and left. She returned to the store just a few minutes later when she noticed the wallet was gone and could not locate the wallet in the store or in the parking lot. She advised the store has surveillance but was unable to get a copy of the footage while she was at the store and was advised by staff to make a police report.
• At 2:40 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 24, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report the theft of a cordless drill ($150 value), battery ($199) and battery charger ($100) from a job site at a North Monticello Drive address between 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22, 10:30 a.m., Feb. 24. Complainant was advised to call back when the items’ serial numbers were located.
• At 11:47 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 20, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report vandalism to his mailbox at an Ensign Lane residence. Total value of damage was listed at $100. Complainant advised he heard a loud explosion and advised he called to have officers sent out on 3:30 a.m. but advised they did not notice anything. Complainant advised he discovered the mailbox had been blown up at 7 a.m., Feb. 20. He advised the door was blown off and the top ripped away from the box.
