More petitions picked up for 2022 race
As of Monday, April 4, four candidates have picked up petitions to run for Mayor in the Town of Farragut, and seven candidates have picked up petitions to run for Alderman.
Incumbent Mayor Ron Williams, along with candidates Randal Roberts, Sean Murphy and Bill Johns, have picked up petitions from the Knox County Election Commission office, and Williams, Roberts and Murphy have already returned them.Roberts and Murphy, both Ward 2 (South Ward) residents, have also returned petitions to run for Alderman.
In Ward 1 (North Ward), incumbent Alderman Scott Meyer has returned his petition to run for re-election. Also returning a petition to run for
the same seat is Adam Atherton. Steven
Cameron has picked up a petition but has not yet returned it.
In Ward 2 (South Ward), candidate Marty Layman has returned his petition to run, while David White has also picked up a petition but had not yet returned it as of early Tuesday, April 5.
Deadline for returning petitions is noon this Thursday, April 7.
The deadline for withdrawal is next Thursday, April 14.
