Town business owners invited to inaugural Visit Farragut Hospitality luncheon

Town of Farragut is hosting the inaugural Visit Farragut Hospitality luncheon for area hoteliers, restaurateurs and business owners in Farragut’s Community Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 24.

Guests can purchase their $10 tickets on-line at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/visit-farragut-hospitality-luncheon-tickets-330657434287 and choose a boxed lunch from Einstein Bros Bagels.

Guest speaker will be Mark Grenier, director of operations for Farragut’s new TopGolf attraction, set to open later this summer as the first brand-new attraction in the Town’s Entertainment District along Outlet Drive.

“This is the inaugural Visit Farragut Hospitality luncheon and with TopGolf, one of the nation’s premier attractions, set to open soon on Outlet Drive I thought it would be a great way to introduce and welcome Mark Grenier to our community,” said Town of Farragut Tourism manager Karen Tindal, adding, “TopGolf has a reputation for supporting the communities that they build in and I think it is important to connect Mark with the business owners, hoteliers and restaurateurs that make Farragut such a vibrant community to live in and to visit.”

According to a Town press release, those attending also will hear an update on the Visit Farragut summer campaign and learn about how the program can support their businesses.

Lunch tickets are $10 and can be purchased through 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 18.

The announcement for this new event comes alongside recent organizational changes related to the Town’s Tourism program. Tindal, now the full-time Tourism manager, will work closely with the Town’s Museum director to oversee Museum operations. Previously housed in the Parks & Recreation Department, both Tourism and Museum programs have been moved to the Administration Department, under the supervision of the Director of Economic Development.
