Hemphill State Farm team honored

While Josh Hemphill State Farm team members say, in unison, they were “truly honored last month to be presented with the State Farm Community Involvement Award” — one of just 100 agencies nationwide who were nominated and selected for their “outstanding community engagement” according to a State Farm press release — the $10,000 grant they received was passed along to help injured and sick children. A $10,000 check was presented by Hemphill, his family and agency team members, to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital during a brief ceremony at ETCH, 2018 West Clinch Ave. in Knoxville, Wednesday, May 25.

“At State Farm, we are committed to helping build stronger communities,” said Hemphill, in red shirt on the left holding part of the check. “For me, it’s not enough to simply say we’re a Good Neighbor, we embrace the responsibility to make this community better by being a part of a solution.” Alongside Hemphill, from left, are Jennifer Lamb, ETCH director of Development; Taylor Williams, ETCH grant writer; Mandy Hemphill, Josh’s wife, with their daughter, Bella, and son, Jordan; Josh Hemphill State Farm team members Kaleb McAlpin, Bradley James, Courtney Kear and Carmendie Difranco; and Maggie Morgan, ETCH Annual Giving officer.
