Outdoor Summer Music area events announced
As temperatures have increased, so have the live music options in and around Farragut.
Summer listings
The Pinnacle at Turkey Creek offers its Summer Nights Music series on alternating Thursdays, with the next event from 6 to 9 p.m., June 16, and continuing July 7, July 21 and Aug. 4.
Concerts are located on the outdoor patio portion of the development, near the newly-opened Nike store.
Shop Farragut/Farragut Business Alliance’s annual MusicFest in West End Center, will be held from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday, July 9, and from 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 10 (see Planner, page 3B, for more details).
Knox County’s Parks and Recreation Department is again overseeing the county’s annual Second Saturday Concert Series, which kicked off Saturday, June 11, and will continue July 9, with Leftfoot Dave and the Magic Hats then Rockinfellerz Aug. 13 in The Cove at Concord Park, 11808 S. Northshore Drive.
All concerts will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and are free of charge. Those attending encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and food.
No alcohol is permitted.
Mamajam’s Lawn Chair Concert Series returns at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 16, in Founder’s Park at Campbell Station, 405 N. Campbell Station Road, and also will be held Aug. 13 and Aug. 27.
Expected performers this season will include Pale Root, Guy Marshall, Roger Alan Wade, Vaden Landers, Alertski, The Get Right Band and School of Rock.
Those attending this free event, which is supported by the Town of Farragut, are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnics or purchase from any of the many available food trucks.
