38th Annual Bob Watt Fishing Rodeo
One-hundred-fifty local children, from toddlers to age 12, grabbed their fishing poles to try their luck during 38th Annual Bob Watt Fishing Rodeo, hosted by Town of Farragut in Anchor Park — holding two morning sessions — Saturday, May 14.
“Over both sessions, about 200 fish were caught. We had 75 children registered for each of the two sessions,” said Merritt Piper, Farragut Special Event and Program coordinator.
This year’s winners were:
• First session from 8 to 9 a.m.: Most Fish, Liam Walker; Heaviest Fish for girls 6 and under, Madeline Minter; Heaviest Fish for boys 6 and under, Aiden Therrien; Heaviest Fish for girls 7 to 9, Raigan Curtis; Heaviest Fish for boys 7 to 9, Asher Gault; Heaviest Fish for girls 10 to 12, Rylin Curtis; and Heaviest Fish for boys 10 to 12, Landon Smith.
• Second session from 10 to 11 a.m.: Most Fish, Ronan Irving; Heaviest Fish for girls 6 and under, Amelia Rogers; Heaviest Fish for boys 6 and under, Brooks Rogers; Heaviest Fish for girls 7 to 9, Cirila Qian; Heaviest Fish for boys 7 to 9, Taylor Bryant; Heaviest Fish for girls 10 to 12, Grace Clabough; and Heaviest Fish for boys 10 to 12, Bodie Percer.
