Farragut resident Martha Wright, 84, (above) not only came in first in her 1 Mile age group, she was the oldest participant among 369 registered for the annual Farragut Independence Day Freedom Run 1 Mile and 2 Mile races near and on Kingston Pike — sponsored by Fleet Feet, Knoxville — which ended in the old Ingles parking lot Monday morning, July 4. Preceeding 34th Annual Farragut Independence Day Parade, the event “was bigger than last year,” said Cheryl Hadian, who owns Fleet Feet with husband, Shahin Hadian.
