Special note to a handful of contributors for this week
A handful of Presstalks and Letters to the Editor sent in since the deadline for our July 6 issue, all of which either endorsed and/or took issue with a local candidate for elected office, had to be left out due their arrival being past our deadline for submitting such opinions based on the approaching Early Voting period, which begins Friday, July 15.
The deadline notice was printed twice on the Opinion Page (above Presstalks and in the midst of several Letters to the Editor) in our July 6 issue.
We regret any reader disappointment about this limitation.
