Morning Pointe taking donations for students in need, seniors
Morning Pointe of Knoxville Westland Drive is supporting both seniors and students during the month of July.
In a joint initiative with Home Instead home care services and Business Professionals Against Alzheimers, Morning Pointe is collecting supplies for seniors in need.
“Some of the items we’re collecting are individually wrapped snacks, toiletries, tissues, sugar free candy, adult coloring books and work books, and we are asking the community to help by dropping off donations at 9649 Westland Dr., Knoxville, by July 30,” said Kari Christopher, life enrichment director for the Westland location.
For students, the community is partnering with Mission of Hope to collect school supplies throughout August, with a collection bin being placed in the lobby staring Monday, Aug. 1.
Specific items being sought include backpacks, pencils, paper, pens, markers, crayons, colored pencils, notebooks and two-pocket folders
