• Farragut Parks & Recreation Department offers many rental opportunities, including three new pavilions.

“Early reservations are recommended, especially for pavilions near the McFee Park splashpad,” a Town government press release stated. “There are just a few weekend rentals available in August, so plan now for late summer gatherings. Rental rates have recently changed; see below for new rates.”

Ten picnic pavilions are available for rent, including new pavilions at McFee Park, Anchor Park and Town Hall. Photos and descriptions of each pavilion are available at farragutparksandrec.org/facility-rentals.

Groups can reserve the Town’s natural grass and synthetic turf athletic fields on a first-come, first-served prepay basis. Contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 865-218-3376 or visit farragutparksandrec.org/fielduse for information about eligibility requirements. For information about reserving McFee Park tennis/pickleball courts, visit farragutparksandrec.org/tennis.

Farragut Community Center offers a middle school-sized gym, two classrooms and an Assembly Hall for public rental. For more information and rental forms, visit farragutparksandrec.org/community-center. To reserve space, e-mail CommunityCenterRentals@townoffarragut.org or call 865-281-3376.

Reservations must be made seven days in advance. Renters must be 21 or older. For Assembly Hall rentals, reservations must be made 14 days in advance, but no more than six months in advance. Renters must be 21 or older.

• Town of Farragut Engineering Department has begun a stormwater mapping project “to collect data about the Town’s stormwater assets,” a Town press release stated. “All Farragut subdivisions will be included in the project.

“Contractors from CEC, Inc., will be accessing stormwater structures within and adjacent to the Town’s right-of-way,” the release further stated. “Crew members will be driving trucks marked with CEC logos.”
