Pinchok reception to recognize 8 years of South Ward, Town service by outgoing alderman
Outgoing Farragut Alderman Ron Pinchok will be honored with a reception beginning at 5 p.m., Thursday, July 28, in Town Hall.
It will take place before his final BOMA meeting representing Ward II (South), which begins at 6 p.m. that evening.
Pinchok has served as a South Ward alderman since 2014, and was term-limited from seeking re-election. Over the last eight years, he also has served as interim mayor and vice mayor.
He also has served on various committees down through the years, including Town Parks and Athletics Council (appointed in 2011), the Town’s former Economic Development Advisory Committee, and most recently on the Town’s Visual Resources Review Board, Comprehensive Land Use Plan Steering Committee and Town Sign Steering Committee.
Pinchok was instrumental in championing the McFee Park expansion, and also helping create both the Town’s Visit Farragut program and the Town Entertainment District, located along Outlet Drive, where its first and centerpiece attraction, TopGolf, is expeted to open in August.
Following Town elections Thursday, Aug. 4, Pinchok’s successor and the offices of Mayor and one Ward I (North) alderman will be sworn in prior to the Thursday, Aug. 11, regular BOMA meeting.
