Concord United Methodist Church’s United Women in Faith (formerly known as United Methodist Women) gathered for an outdoor garden party in June on the church grounds. The heat index was high, but the ladies and their guests enjoyed popsicles, and electric fans were distributed to help form gentle breezes while they met, talked, prayed
and heard from church members Sue Dempsey, who is in charge of the church’s flower ministry, and Mike Smith, who is in charge of the church’s community garden.
