• I am calling to make a comment about the new traffic pattern. You know the one — the one up-down, up-down paving pattern on Kingston Pike. I didn’t see a note about (inaudible) the new way, and neither did the guy behind me the other day, who laid down on his horn when I slowed to a crawl to keep from breaking an axle and knocking my car out of alignment when I hit the uplands, which had no transition from the downlands, other than a jarring thump when you hit one.
I guess he’ll get used to the new pattern, and so will I — and I hope my car does as well. Then again, maybe someone will decide to finish the paving project sometime in the next year.
• The Town of Farragut has great walking trails, and they do an absolutely super job keeping them maintained and so forth. But in the past three or four months, some group called NAUZA has been spray painting their graffiti, their name, on park benches, trash cans, drain pipes, posts — wherever.
And the Town has done a Herculean job of coming behind and cleaning them up. But every time they do it, this NAUZA group spray paints their graffiti again.
And my thought would be: if anyone knows a member of NAUZA and could contact the (Knox County) Sheriff’s (Office) or the Town of Farragut, maybe someone could talk to these members — or maybe their parents — and solicit their help in getting this vandalism stopped.
