• Art Fest returns in 2022 with colorful, new fun. Enjoy free outdoor interactive art activities from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 18, in Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd.
Nine craft stations will offer activities such as monster straw painting, squirt gun painting, spin art and chalk stenciling. While activities are geared toward children, all can participate. Event is sponsored by Farragut Arts & Beautification Committee.

• McFee Park’s basketball courts and surrounding parking have now re-opened after being closed due to installation of sports lighting, according to Wendy Smith, Town Public Relations and Marketing coordinator.
