• OK, there is a large grocery chain store that wants to build a 156,000-square foot building on property that is adjacent to several neighborhoods, and is in very close proximity to quite a few more. The property they wish to put this on is right on Kingston Pike, as well as being next to quite a few families and neighborhoods. This property is too skinny. We already have enough traffic problems without having to deal with so many more people coming in and out of a road that will be coming off Kingston Pike to the grocery store — not to mention noise pollution, gas exhaust from cars, tanker trucks and delivery trucks, and the negative effect it will have on property values. Tell the Town, no Hy-Vee.
