About 50 spectators joined community members bringing their best friends to test the waters during Shop Farragut/Farragut Business Alliance’s annual Pooch Plunge, which kicked off Dog Daze VI weekend at Village Green shopping center parking lot Friday, Aug. 12.
The Plunge allowed pet dogs to sample how far they can jump into a pool, with encouragement from their owners, before the competitive dogs take over the weekend.
Sponsored by Smoky Mountain Dock Dogs, the Dog Daze competition — featuring dogs from all across the eastern United States — took place Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14.
Vendors included food trucks and general shopping and food selections.
