TPA awardee takes on extra role with farragutpress circulation
Tony Christen, farragutpress production manager whose department has been the creative arm helping the newspaper earn numerous Tennessee Press Association first-place awards for advertising and special section excellence, is taking on an additional challenge.
Looking to “re-organize” and improve reader access to the newspaper, Christen has added the title of circulation manager.
“I am extremely pleased that Tony has chosen to accept new responsibilities and add the role of our circulation manager to his duties,” said Tony Cox, farragutpress publisher and president of Republic Newspapers, Inc., parent company of farragutpress.
“Tony has been handling our press runs for years,” Cox added. “Tony is a long-time employee who has been primarily focused on leading graphics and production.”
An employee of Republic Newspapers since 2003, Christen said he looks to “restructure” circulation, “bringing it back up to get more eyes on the paper.
“I’m excited about the new challenge that this position presents,” he added. “I look forward to working to expand our visibility and reach more readers in our community.”
“Tony will be the point person for circulation questions,” Cox said. “His duties will include working with the carriers to keep them informed of stops and starts, reviewing our delivery routes to make sure our route counts are accurate, modifying routes where needed, keeping our paid subscriptions current and filling carrier vacancies when needed.”
