KCSO reports

• At 3:58 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit was dispatched to 11201 Kingston Pike for vandalism done to a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette in the parking of Discount Tire. Complainant advised a high school-aged male with a navy blue hoody and backpack had walked through the parking lot and threw a pack of ketchup on the hood of a customer’s car.

“The victim was not on scene, and I spoke with him via telephone. The victim advised as long as there wasn’t any damage done then he wasn’t too worried about it,” the report stated. Discount Tire removed the ketchup from the hood of the car and asked for a report to document the incident.

• At 10:59 a.m., Sept. 28, a victim called KCSO East Precinct to report a theft at a Bayshore Road address. According to the victim Saturday, Sept. 24, person(s) unknown somehow obtained his Bank of America Visa Credit Card number and charged $650 on it. Victim said the charge was listed for a company out of Sandy Springs, Georgia.

According to the victim, he contacted the company and left a message asking for someone to contact him regarding this charge. Upon receiving a returned call, the victim said the caller told him he couldn’t locate any paperwork for a job done by the company on that date for $650. “The victim advised he looked online and found a well-made website for the company showing good customer reviews for the business,” the report stated. “He said from what he could see it appeared to be a legitimate business.”

• At 4:52 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft from her storage unit along Snyder Road. Complainant advised on Sept. 26 “she received a call from the storage facility stating the lock on her storage unit was found to have been cut off,” the report stated. “She advised when she arrived, she discovered the listed property had been stolen from inside. Total value of loss was listed at $305.

• At 2:11 p.m., Sept. 26, a complainant called KCSO North Precinct to report a burglary to her storage building along Snyder Road.

“She said an unknown suspect gained entry into her storage building by cutting the lock,” the report stated. “She advised the listed items were missing and said they may have video surveillance. She was advised if a video exists “to save it for the detective assigned to this incident,” the report stated. Total value of loss was listed at $5,652, which included roughly $2,500 in designer clothes, a $600 watch, $400 in earrings and $400 in cash.
