Deadline Tuesday, Oct. 11 - early voting begins Oct. 19 thru Nov. 3 - federal/state Election Day Tuesday, Nov. 8

“Knox County residents must register to vote by midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 11, to be able to cast a ballot in the Gubernatorial and Federal/State Election on Nov. 8,” a Knox County Election Commission press release stated.

Meanwhile, early voting begins Wednesday, Oct. 19, and runs through Thursday, Nov. 3.

“Registering to vote, updating your address or checking your registration status is fast, easy and secure with the Secretary of State’s online voter registration system,” the release further stated.

“Any U.S. citizen with a driver’s license or photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security can register online from any computer or mobile device at www.GoVoteTN.gov or at www.knoxvotes.org.”

Paper voter registration applications are available to download on www.GoVoteTN.gov or www.knoxvotes.org and also are available at both Knox County Election Commission offices.

Completed paper voter registration applications must be mailed to Knox County Election Commission or submitted in person. Mailed voter registrations must be postmarked by Oct. 11.
