• Yvonne Coffey and Caitlynn Ball, mother-daughter partners, are launching SYNERGY HomeCare of West Knoxville, an American franchise, in Knoxville. Coffey comes from more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry at the managerial level while Ball’s background consists of corporate sales experience.
The two already have been business owners in West Knoxville for some time, and their interactions with customers made them realize the community’s growing need for non-medical in-home care.
• University of Tennessee Medical Center recently was recognized by American College of Cardiology for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain.
UTMC also was awarded the Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI in May based on rigorous evaluation.
