Real Hot Yoga brought to Farragut

Lisa and Brad Lecoultre heated up yoga for Farragut residents when they opened their new franchise business, Real Hot Yoga, Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11515 Kingston Pike in Village Green shopping center.

“It’s really important to me that, with this business, we create a community that is open for every person to be able to explore yoga,” Lisa said.

“Real Hot Yoga was started in Knoxville 10 years ago” in Bearden, she added. “They recently began franchising opportunities, so Brad and I purchased the franchise and (brought) it to Farragut.

“We were looking for a space that was centrally located in the heart of Farragut. This center has a great space. It’s very large — we have 1,800 square feet of actual studio space, which can hold up to 50 clients at one time.

The yoga “is done in a heated room,” Lisa said. “We do yoga classes at 95 degrees or 105 degrees, depending on the style of class.

“The heat allows for an extra cardiovascular element in the exercise, and it also allows you to get deeper into the stretches because of the heat relaxing the muscle tissues,” she added. “So you get a full-body workout, as well as a cardio workout, with the yoga and a great flex.”

While Lisa said using heat during yoga, the West Hills Real Hot Yoga is the No. 1 hot yoga studio in Knoxville. “We hope the Farragut (location) will be, too,” she added.

While this is Lisa’s first yoga studio business, she has been practicing yoga for 12 years.

“I got into yoga as part of a wellness plan for mental and physical health,” Lisa said. “Yoga has many benefits.”

The Lecoultres are offering 40 classes a week, seven days a week for all levels and many styles of yoga.

“Our hours are built around our class schedule, starting as early as 5:30 a.m., and we offer several classes throughout the day with the last class starting at 7:30 p.m. during the week,” she said. On Saturdays and Sundays, we start at 9 a.m., and the last class starts at 4 p.m.”
