Candidate letters must now be paid, positive

Any campaign endorsement Letter to the Editor sent to farragutpress’ editorial staff, which is intended for publication in one of our two upcoming Wednesday issues — Oct. 26 or Nov. 2 — will be re-directed to our advertising department.

These Letters, past the deadline to be published free on this page (which was in our Oct. 12 issue, as noted in our Oct. 5 issue) will be considered only as a potential paid advertisement. In addition, these paid endorsements MUST only tout the positives of the candidate they support, and make NO negative comments about an opponent beyond saying, for example, the candidate you support “is the best candidate for the job” and give reasons that do not attack the opponent.
