• Y-12 Federal Credit Union plans to open its 16th branch at 9133 Middlebrook Pike in January 2023.

The 4,800-square-foot building will be a full service-branch. Personal Teller Machines already are operating, offering members access to a live teller from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday.

Guests and members will be able to experience in-branch services and grand opening activities beginning Jan. 17.

Building off the momentum of the credit union’s success in Lenoir City, the Middlebrook Pike Branch plans to continue to center operations around a superior member experience.

Marla Collins recently was named branch manager. She has been with Y-12 FCU for more than 14 years and brings more than 27 years of credit union experience to her new management role.

• FirstBank, the third largest Tennessee-headquartered bank, recently was recognized by American Banker as one of the 2022 Best Banks to Work For. It has participated in the program three times and has been recognized all three years.
