Gingerbread house fundraising success for FHS students, Flatford
Students in Farragut High School’s Family and Consumer Science class — teacher Lynsey Flatford — raised $3,470 this year and won several awards with their creative gingerbread houses during Fantasy of Trees in Knoxville Convention Center Wednesday through Sunday, Nov. 23-27, benefitting East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Earning “Best of Christmas” honors were, from left, Grace McHenry, Kaitlyn Hall, Morgan Parrish and Anabelle Ellis. Students not pictured also won “Best High School 9-12.”
Flatford’s own gingerbread house won “Best in Show.”
