FHS boys lose
The third time wasn’t very charming for Farragut versus Karns.
Despite defeating the Beavers twice previously this season, the Admirals fell to guard J.J. Faulkner (a game-high 28 points) and Karns 65-61 at FHS’s Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium/Donald Dodgen Court Friday night, Jan. 6.
Aidan Goins, a 6-foot-8, 270-pound post, added 19 for the Beavers, whose record improved to 13-5.
Dominic Vanacker, a sophomore wing, scored a team-high 22 points for Farragut (10-8), followed by junior wing Aiden Vanakcer’s 12 points. Berkley Naro, junior forward, added 10 points, while Dallas Carbaugh scored nine and Parker Lane eight points.
Karns led the Admirals 18-15 after one quarter, 32-29 at halftime and 48-45 following three quarters.
