Break-even week, in reverse, for FHS hoops teams vs. W-Blount, Heritage
Farragut’s basketball teams had different success stories against District 4-4A Blount County teams last week.
The Lady Ads easily beat William Blount 51-29 at FHS Tuesday, Jan. 17, but lost a tough 53-50 decision at Heritage Friday night, Jan. 20.
Against HHS, the Farragut girls (15-8 overall, 3-2 in district) were led by sophomore point Annie Priest’s 18 points. Maelyn McNealy scored 10.
The FHS boys (13-10, 3-2 ) lost at home to state-ranked WBHS 78-71 Jan. 17, but bounced back big-time at Heritage last Friday to win going away 60-33.
Dominic Vanacker, Ads sophomore wing, led in scoring against HHS with 16. Luke Johnson added nine points while Berkley Naro and Tyson Jackson each scored eight.
