Ending with a 22-2 record, FMS girls reach TMSAA Sectional semis
POWELL — Riding the backs of 10 eighth-graders, Farragut Middle School girls hoops closed out one of the most successful seasons in program history.
While finishing Knox County regular season and tournament play perfect at 18-0 with two championships, head coach Devan McIntyre’s girls reached the TMSAA Sectional semifinals before Alcoa ended the Lady Ads’ season 44-33 Thursday night, Feb. 2.
Finishing 22-2 overall, Farragut did make some noise in the Sectionals, beating John Sevier Middle 31-18 in the quarterfinal round Monday, Jan. 30.
Eighth-graders leading the way this season were Reagan Sheridan, Trinity Curry, Gabbie Vanacker, Zoe Porter, Julie Tiernan, Ada Becker, Harper Holmes, Kinley Frear, Taryn Jackson and Mia Swartzentruber.
