Justice center gets $1,100 in cards from H-Valley church

Tammy Doyle, center, and Richard Smith, members of Hardin Valley Church of Christ, presented 57 gift cards totaling $1,100, which were donations from church members to Knoxville Family Justice Center. Hayley Griffin, coordinated community response and outreach director with KFJC, accepted the donation Tuesday, Feb. 7. Smith said the cards are being distributed by the Justice Center to “family violence victims to assist with needs, such as groceries, gas and child and infant care items.” He added the donations are expected to last almost three months.

“The Knoxville Family Justice Center is Knoxville’s and Knox County’s hub for domestic violence services and support, including legal help and social services for victims and their children,” Griffin said.
