‘Decision Height’ runs at FHS March 7-9
Farragut High School’s Admiral Performing Arts Company Lab is bringing three student-run and student-led performances to the community in the months ahead, starting Tuesday, March 7, with “Decision Height.”
The show will be offered starting at 7 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday, March 9, in the school’s Vickie B. Wells Auditorium, and features an all-female cast of nine telling the fictional story of nine women who trained as fighter pilots in World War II.
“Virginia Hascall has left her home and fiancé to become a Women Airforce Service Pilot, and do her part to help defeat the Axis powers in the Second World War,” a program-provided release stated. ”Through triumph and tragedy, she and her sisters in flight suits learn as much about themselves as they do about airplanes.”
The show is directed by senior Jasmyne Baker, and performers include Addison Garrett, Sheala Miller, Olivia Gnoth, Tiffany Guo, Ella Gruhn, Nika Ray, Jaclynn Robinson, Emily Maguire and Madelyn Henrie.
Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased at the door prior to each performance.
“This is the first year this class has been offered,” noted a release, describing APAC Lab. “It is an audition class. It is also student-run, with the help of [theater teacher] Dr. Anthony Wooley.
Additionally, the class “is responsible for putting on three productions per semester,” but is only offered in the spring.
